Simplicity

During my holidays away from school, I went on a trip. A trip to see a whole new place with whole new people. My eyes and ears and mind experienced and learned so much goodness from it. Thank you God for opening my vision and giving me perspective...

I learned that...

... we don't need as much as we think we do, to live comfortable lives
... people are much nicer than we first assume, if we just say hello
... the most important thing is to be healthy and take care of our health
... education helps but it only goes so far, openness to life and listening to others wisdom and experiences can go even further
... compassion is so in need - towards others, towards ourselves, towards this planet
... why stress, why complicate - no one is pushing us but ourselves
... life would be much better if we'd surround ourselves with loving and kind people, and create a space of wellness that can not be disturbed by outer circumstances
... spread blessings far and wide and to all
... no one is perfect, but also no one is imperfect
... every place has their ups and downs, but perspective makes it so
... Trust and you shall be taken care of
... awareness and consciousness comes from the places we least expect it
... when the basics are covered, everything else is pudding
... Live life like each moment is our last, cause it might just be
... never regret, not saying hello
... Be simple, be joyful... and all shall come to you

Life is truly not complicated... what makes it complicated are all our fears and desires of all the things that don't exist yet in our lives... why? Breathe. Life is so simple and pure.

This year, I want to commit to keeping it simple and pure, no stain of fear nor desire of the restless mind to touch it. Just simply, cherish and observe and embrace the unknown.

Amrit kaur ji,

Nicely put. Could you explain this one a bit more though? "never regret, not saying hello"

Waheguru ji,

What I meant by this was that when put in social context, if we stay hidden inside and don't say hello or engage in conversation or exchange, we have no chance at learning from another person, nor a chance at challenging our perceptions.

Perhaps yes there are circumstances where you do not want to engage in exchange, trust your intuition.

But if you feel you should say something, and you don't... you might regret it later. At least by saying hello, you acknowledge the other person's existence and recognize we are all of the human race.

I have often been surprised when I faced by judgments and said hello. Always felt like coming out of it, feeling much more humble...

Again, use intuition and conscious communication to exchange and keep the mind in a neutral state but also fully aware... then all become teachers.
