Pyaray Sangat Jio!
Guru kirpa nal, we are saved from the blazing hot fires, tornados, whirlpools and tidal waves and earthquakes and eruptions... that is the movement of sargun maya. Guru kirpa nal, we are given the hem of His robe to clutch onto and be guided and taken across this world ocean of blazing burning acid, into the soothing calming waters of His amrit sarovar. Guru kirpa nal, we remember Him with loving devotion, and are saved.
It is good to be innocent, naïve, sweet, kind and polite. We always should have a pure mind, pure intentions, and pure actions. If evil does not even cross our mind, then God bless us. However - do not let yourself be fooled.
In this Kalyug - you may be dressed as a saint, you may recite your prayers, you may avoid the company of bad people, you may never think an evil thing or be tempted by the 5 evils: Kam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh, Ahangkar. But regardless of all this, do not think you will so easily escape - because others around you may be tempted by these evils, and try to break your innocence. Do not let yourself be so innocent that you can be fooled by the malicious manipulations of others.
Someone once told me "Do not be so sweet that you will be swallowed up and eaten, but also do not be so sour as to be spit out." Same goes for being innocent and pure-minded. You need to be, but also be on guard for others who may not have the best intentions. This world is burning in the 5 evils, and perhaps you are not burning with it but if the flames try to catch your robe you must be aware of it and stomp it out.
This is why Guru Ji wanted us to be warriors, just as much as saints.
Waheguru!! Be on your guard, beautiful Khalsa, and pray to God and Guru to always save You from the fire of the world and the trickery of others. Read the bani of the 10th Master, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and be strong.
I wish to share a few gurvakhs of a very powerful bani called Bachittar Natak, a bani in Sri Dasam Granth Sahib written by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji:
Rasaval Chhand
You are with bow and arrow and You have made many a young man wonder struck. Like great warriors you have a double-edged sword in Your hands. ||37||
When the people gather for war and fierce battle goes on, at that time O Merciful Lord, You are always benevolent. ||38||
For ever You are One, King of all the worlds, undefeatable, unborn and helper of those who come to Your shelter. ||39||
The Sword is blazing in Your hand and You the great giver is always giving gifts to the people. O devoid of all the heats of present and future, I bow before You. ||40||
and in Naraj Chhand
The Sabre adorning Your hands is the wiper of the crores of sins. The mace in Your hand is might and the arrows on your bow are already pulled ones. ||47||
The sound of your conch is like the roar of clouds. O Lord, I am under your shelter, praying You to salvage me and to save my honour. ||48||
and in Charani Dohara
Whose protector is the Lord, no enemy can put any harm to him. No fool can touch even his shadow and all the efforts of putting him to trouble go to waste. ||24||
Nothing can be said about the person who goes in the shelter of saints; their company saves the person in the manner the tongue is saved from the teeth though it remains surrounded by them ||25||

Please forgive me, sometimes I write and forget to translate certain terms. Below you can refer to them for your own knowledge and understanding:
Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh - Khalsa belongs to God and God is always victorious. Khalsa means the pure ones.
Pyaray Sangat Jio - Pyaray means beloved, Sangat is holy congregation, Jio is high respect
Guru Kirpa Nal - By Guru's Grace
Sargun - Worldly, Visible and Tangible, Materialistic attribute
Maya - Illusion of the world as being true, and illusion of separation from God
Kalyug - Kal means dark/death in this context, yug (sometimes referred to as yuga, but the actual word does not have an 'a') means Age like time-period of the history of the planet, thus dark age.
Kam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh, Ahangkar - Lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride/ego are the 5 evils to avoid
